Thanks to you all. Not a USB issue, moving models from one version of SU to Make was the issue and limited permission. All solved. THANKS !!!!!!!

Error Message
Good Day Everyone,
I am getting this message every 2 or 3 minutes when working in Make: "CFileexception3 in C:users\my name\pictures\sketchup make\models\0.skb"
I cannot find too much about how to solve this, what created this or how it started. If anyone has any ideas how to resolve it, please help!!!! its annoying as hell.
Many thanks in advance.

RE: Help updating a SU8 script to Make
Ok I figured it out and thought I would share my resolution here with all of you. I had my old SU8 Script folder on an external disk, after BOX's comment I knew there was something wrong. So I took the script for SU8, copied it to my Make plugins folder. Fired up Make and saw the plugin under tools, however I still could not load it. Opened ruby console and got this message: Ruby Console output-
Error: #<Errno::EACCES: [highlight=#ffff00:3607xdi4]Permission denied[/highlight:3607xdi4] - C:/Program Files/Sketchup/Sketchup2013/yada, yada KW2S
looked this up here at Sketchucation, found this: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=35278
Went to Sketchup2013> Plugins> Right Click, Sharing> Available to Everyone
Went to Sketchup2013> Plugins> K2WS_Tools, Right Click, Sharing> Available to Everyone (even though I'm the only one on this computer) reloaded Make and Viola, it was there, ready to use. Now I know that this is a "windows permission" problem, and I need to further investigate this. For the record, this has not happened with a single other plugin, but I took a shot and it worked. Now if this happens to someone else, at least they have a starting point, if I'm the only "newbie" this ever happened to, its ok because I learned two important things
Lessons learned: learn to use lots of native as it assists me in truly understanding the
program (not that you should never use plugins)I just think a better
understanding of the program is key in choosing what plugins work for
the individual and which don't and whyRead more of this guys tutorials: [http://www.finewoodworking.com/profile/DaveRichards](http://www.finewoodworking.com/profile/DaveRichards)
And in the words of Vincent VanGogh: In spite of everything I shall rise again: I will take up my pencil, which I have forsaken in my great discouragement, and I will go on with my drawing.

BOX: I have the same system as you, and still no good!

RE: Help updating a SU8 script to Make
I have attached the entire contents of the folder. At the time when I used the ruby console to look this up I was only able to select ONE of the 8 or so .rb files in the folder.

RE: Help updating a SU8 script to Make
Here you go, I also included a shot of the unzipped package, as is.

RE: Help updating a SU8 script to Make
The script does not load or respond, (not sure of the correct terminology). In SU8 after I would select the script, the UI would begin asking me for different parameters. Does do it Make. I opened the ruby console and I have enclosed a cap below of what Make says,

RE: Help updating a SU8 script to Make
Nope, no secret, just and oversight.
This is where I found the script originally: http://www.woodworlds.com/downloads/Free-Plugins-For-Woodworking/K2WS-Woodworking-Joints/
I think you can see the script without being logged in.
If not, I also found it here:
http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=891Its by the author KTKOH here on Sketchucation, but I cant seem to locate the actual script here.
I apologize for the oversight of not including the name or location in my original post.
Thank you in advance.

Help updating a SU8 script to Make
Good Day,
I have switched over from SU8(free) to Make(free). Fortunately, I have been able to find updates for every single script I use on a daily basis from SU8 to Make. There, is only one (isn't there always that one thing) script I cannot find an update for, have been unable to reach the author to request that she/he update it, I have tried to learn scripting so I could update it, all to no avail. This is a script that I use in 98% of my creations.
When opening the script in the ruby editor there is a line in the beginning that gives "permission to use, copy, modify, and distribute this software for any purpose and without fee is hereby granted."
This one package contains several individual scripts for creating several different types of joinery for wood projects.
My woodworking projects have come to a standstill. My other alternative is re-installing SU8 just for that one script, which seems incredibly silly to me.
I am hoping that a kind script-master would be willing to at least look at the script, and perhaps update it to work in Make??? Please.

RE: Editing a SU8 script
We have got to stop meeting this way Dave and hello TIG. Thank you for your response. While I was waiting for a reply I was looking at the script in the ruby editor and saw a line that said "requires sketchup.rb. Did a search, found this:
http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=43683&start=0, loaded it and voila, it worked!
I don't know Dave, but the patch worked. Wished my nicotine patches woke as easy. (Day 8 of trying to quit smoking)
Anyway, this is a different one and I enclosed a cap: trying to get this to work in MAKE:
This is only one in a suite of others I need. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Editing a SU8 script
Good day everyone,
I am an intermediate SU8 Free user. I have downloaded MAKE. Almost all my plugins from SU8 work in Make, and if not, I have found a compatible script for MAKE. I am a fine woodworking professional. I have two scripts from SU8, that are used in almost every model I make, therefore I MUST have for Make. Neither work in MAKE. I downloaded Ruby Script Editor by A. Schreyer. I am not familiar with ruby scripting, but am willing to try. I'd like to know if there's anyone who's willing to show me how to edit these scripts to make them viable for use in MAKE.
When opening the script in the editor both have granted permission to edit. I have enclosed a cap of the error message I get for one of them and am hoping someone will help.
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Large Full View Gone!
Hello Everyone,
I have what I think is the silliest most newbie question ever. I'd like to think I have intermediate knowledge of SU8 free. Apparently not, so please be gentle.
Somehow, I have changed my "camera" settings. I can't figure out how to change them back.
I use to press front view, then the little magnifying glass on the end with the arrows (see enclosed cap) and the selection would take up full screen so it was close and I could see the whole selection. Now, when I do this, it gives me a small size of the selection. There is nothing else on the screen. WTH!!! Please help. Using SU8 Free Win7As always, thanks in advance for any help provided.

RE: Selected to group plugin
I am constructing a dresser with drawers. I am attaching the face of the drawer to left and right sides with dowels. When I construct, I have C-Lines to designate where pieces get attached to each other (eventually they are erased in final draft) when I use OSC Boolean to make holes in the face to accommodate the dowels, for some reason that script deletes all my C-Lines, and I have to spend time redrawing them so I have my "attach part here" C-Lines back. I have enclosed two caps. One shows my C-Lines before OSC Boolean script and then immediately after. So to circumvent this, I select all C-Lines, make them to a group, hide them when running OSC script and then un-hide, open component and re attach them. The C-Lines tend to be very small and sometimes I miss them, therefore I was looking for a script that would just "select all C-Lines". I have also looked for a "make layer to group" script as I do have all C-Lines on a separate layer for visual toggling. If there's a better way to do this task, please advise if not I carry on with my method and thanks in advance.

Selected to group plugin
Good Day,
I am looking for a plugin that's take selected all construction lines on a face via right click and make them a group for naming. Does one already exist? Can someone make one for me? Or show me how to make one? Thanks in advance.
