    • RE: Sketchup for handbag modelling?

      Hi,

numbthumb I have checked this plugins for pushing and pulling cury surfaces and this was exactly what I was looking for this is a must have.
I knew subdivide and smooth which might also be indispensable.

Gaieus, Urgen is definitely an expert for texturing but I think I will focus first on making proper modelling.

Now I got to start working on that.

      Thanks a lot!

    • Sketchup for handbag modelling?

First I would like to say hi to all, as is it my first post here although I coming on the forum regularely and found answers for most of my questions and got now familiar with SU from a few months thanks to you guys.
I am actually working in a handbag business and I am looking for an efficient way to design bags with SU, I want to be able to create realistic soft shapes, it is very easy to make something boxy but it is not the effect I am looking for.
Another thing which I really need to do is to double layer my bags, to get an impression of thickness for example on leather handles, it easy on flat surfaces to "push pull" but how about all bended and curvy shapes? Is there some magic plugins I missed, should I get some Ruby skills?
Well, maybe but at this stage I really need your opinion, as I do not know in which direction to go but I am pretty certain that SU can do it.

Please excuse my english which is not so good.

      Thanks,

      Alex
