    • Matching photo texture using Google maps not street view

      Hello all,

I have been trying to add hot texture from the satellite view and not the street view. I tried selecting the region but it give me a blank image. I want the top view of the building but I cannot select that region from street view. How else can I accomplish this, i can do it by saving it as an image and using paint bucket add a texture, but is there any quick way to do it?
Please refer to the images attached.

      Thanks!

    • How to retain object position, between screens

      Hi all,

I have a problem. I would like to create an animation, in which I would like to use only one crane through the model. I create different screens to record the position of the moving crane. Can I possibly use only a single copy through out the model. I am currently creating copies and hiding each one after every screen, is there any fast and better way to do this task?
      Thank you

    • RE: Using CAD file to trace rectangles

pbacot thanks for that plug-in info. As you I do trace from the cad file snapping at corners and edges it's easy to do. But if they are two rectangles just side to each other when I draw them with snapping the corners and pushpull one of them while making the group it still selects the other one. Anyways I hope the plug-in will work. Anything for the work to get done:) THANKS!

    • Using CAD file to trace rectangles

      Hello all,

I wanted to import a .dwg file which has all the rectangles, how will sketchup detect these rectangles so that I can directly push/pull them. I could do them manually but while creating groups i.e triple clicking the mouse button all the other geometry is also been selected, how to get rid of this.
I tried turning of layers but it still selects the lines. How can I select only the object which I push/pulled?

      Thank you

    • Object hidden lines

      Hi all!
I was looking to improve my animation and this i focused on edges. I tried to smoothen the edges but any angle above 90 degrees gives a shade kind of appearance on the material. So I tried this selected an object and trid to delete this lines. and you could make the difference in the picture posted. Please suggest me if there is a much more better way to do this.

    • RE: Creating Uniform Animation

Juju, I just got an idea. What if I put a line constant and fix a view for every scene and turn that line's layer off. It work right? Also the software according to that description only delays or increases time. Is it worth the money. Please if you can show me a sample that would be of great help. THANKS!

    • Creating Uniform Animation

Hi I am trying to animate a model. I take scenes and play them as animation. But it some times lingers a bit. Like a shaky video, its because of the inconsistency of taking the scenes one after the other. How can I fix this are there any ideas you guys have got?
Please provide me with your suggestions from your experiences.

      Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜„
