Is there a way to save my scene settings for use in another skp?

Yes,
set them up in your default template, save as: the when you select save as, use the same file that opens as your default. C;>program Files> Google>SU6> Templates.If you need help setting up a template see: http://download.sketchup.com/sketchuphelp/gsu6_win/gsuwin.html

or you can buy for $3 a script called PageExIm (smustard.com). it allows you to export and import all the scenes you may wish. i did it and am very happy with it.
p.s.: i am no smustard sales rep, just a satisfied customer.
