This little table is going to used to wrap small packets on. You'll notice a slit in the back of the table top. The cellophane wrap is kept in the table behind the doors and is pulled through the slit as needed.
You're all welcome to it if you want it.

Alan hi, It's going to be made from Oak and will be stained dark. Almost Wenge.
And you're right, the top compartment is indeed a drawer.
