Maybe there is already a topic about this "problem", but I couldn't find it.

Last week I installed the newest version of SketchUp PRO on my new computer. Normally I could customize the toolbar, but when I drag some tools from the Large Tool Set in de toolbar above they only stay there until I close SketchUp. Every time I open SketchUp I have to drag in the tools again.

Is this a bug which needs to be fixed?

Sounds like you didn't install SketchUp 2026 correctly. On Windows, correct installation requires right clicking on the downloaded installer and choosing Run as administrator.

Note that the Large Toolset cannot be modified. You can modify other native toolbars or create your own.

@Dave-R thanks for your reply. I installed/repaired SketchUp, running by Administrator.

I use SketchUp since 2006 (and give courses since 2012) and always I could drag out some tools from the Large Toolset and place them in another toolbar. I noticed that I can make a whole new toolbar and drag the few tools from the Large Tool Set in there. If it is not possible anymore to customize the toolbars by dragging in tools from another toolbar then will be the solution to make a whole new toolbar.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

You can't drag tools off Large Toolset on Windows and build a custom Toolbar.
