Automatically group all layers within the imported model.
-
Hi, i think i saw an extension that can group layers automatically but cannot find it anymore.
Is there a tool that can put all layers of the imported model in one group to clean up the layers tab?
Would be nice if i can just left click on a model and ask Sketchup to group all layers within this model inside the layers tab. Thanks ️

What version of SketchUp are you using? There haven't been layers in SketchUp for about 5 years. Tags, formerly layers, are given to groups and components in the model. All edges and faces should be untagged (assigned Layer 0). There isn't any way to group tags or layers.
You can delete tags if you don't need them. If tags have been given to geometry you can clean that up with TIG's Default Tag Geometry.

@Dave-R 2024, my bad, I forgot that they are called tags now. When I said group I meant to put them in same folder in the layers tab so that it is easier to distinguish between tags from an imported model and tags I've made in my own model. Not literally group as in left click- Make group.
I would like to do this with furniture that I import from "bimobject" as it usually comes with lot's of tags that make it hard for me to navigate my tags folder.
