RayScaper
-
Thanks for explaining, will put it on my features list.
-
The other day I was plating with "Plastic" shader and here are some of the images.
The engine material settings seem promising as even in very dark hues you can see the color.
-
That looks good. Wish I could do some testing as well.
-
@ntxdave Do you mind checking if this link works, please?

@majid
I meant, wish I could try RayScaper. -
@majid
I meant, I wish I could try RayScaper. I am running SU 2020 -
@majid Thanks for sharing those material experiments. They look very realistic.
I'm making the Rayscaper material editor more intuitive and less nested so that users won't be daunted by all the material settings. @Rich-O-Brien gave me some great feedback on this. This update should land this week.
Cheers,
Thomas -
@ntxdave So, RS does not work on prior versions?
@pixelcruncher Good news and progress! -
Right now, Rayscaper requires SketchUp 2021 or higher.
-
This is rather an old model... Yet I liked the result.

@majid Superb modeling and rendering.
-
It looks like you are trying Rayscaper on a Mac. Rayscaper is not yet lauched for Mac, that release is a couple of weeks out, sorry!
Cheers,
Thomas -
@tuna1957 The model is not mine, I have adjusted the model, added some details, and adjusted the textures based on an image I had from the real place...
Thanks for the compliment. -
@majid Still a great job whether the model was yours or not.
-
@tuna1957 This is another shot. I reduced the environment power so that we can see it is blue, then added another blue color directional light to compensate for it. this is an experiment yet not final.
-
@majid Looks great Majid.
-
All quite nice!
-
@majid Wow really like this one. The heavier contrast between the light and shadow areas really adds a more dramatic feel to the image.
