      Hi all,
I started a new job at the end of 2022.
My boss ask me to work on same software as him : Sketchup 2022.
I use Sketchup at home since 2007.
I m a cad drafter, usely I draw with Software like Catia, Autocad or Solidworks.
Anyway, last days I worked on my own exporter to PDF3D, today I released it as a kind of beta webapp.
Here is the link : http://skp2pdf.com
Working with textures images is a mess, so I decide to by pass this.
      Comments are welcome.
      Regards, Gilles

        Hello everyone,

I wanted to share some updates with you all. The latest version now includes support for handling textures and other exciting features. I haven't received any feedback or comments yet, so I've decided to release the app at the following link: http://pdf3d.tarn.us/.

I'm aware that PDF 3D may not be the most popular 3D viewer in 2023, as it's starting to show its age. As a result, I've been focusing on developing a WebGL alternative. You can find it at: https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=76595.

        Best regards.

Since Adobe is the only real supporter of 3D PDF I would like to try it but I won't use Acrobat just to view it.

Great idea though. I wish other open source PDF viewers would support 3D embeds.

You are correct; Acrobat is the optimal choice for managing 3D PDFs. FoxIt Reader also has this capability, albeit with some complications related to internal JavaScript.

I have extensive experience with 3D PDFs, having mastered this document format a long time ago. I wanted to push its limits to explore its full potential.

Due to certain issues, I've begun exploring alternative avenues, such as branching into WebGL. You can find more information on my WebGL endeavors at http://webgl.tarn.us.

            Best regards,
            Gilles
