      I have never and likely never will use layout or style builder, how can I remover them and save memory resources?

        If you right click LayOut and pick Uninstall....

        ...it simply sends you to Add/Remove panel where the installer is SketchUp.

        A standalone version would also need to remove all interoperability with LayOut which would make maintaining 2 versions of SketchUp.

        But, I agree, that the installer should out of the box allow a user to pick what they want installed.

          you could open the SU program directory at:

          C;\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 202#\
          

          and delete the sub-directories "\LayOut" and "\StyleBuilder".

          Don't be surprised if glitches may happen.
