Curviloft gets a bit confused by the aperiodic monotile
-
I wanted to play around with the aperiodic monotile: https://cs.uwaterloo.ca/~csk/hat/
I made a few polygons based on a few animation steps and tried to use Curivloft to join them into a solid shape: https://cs.uwaterloo.ca/~csk/hat/examples/animation.gif
However, Curviloft seems to get rather confused by these shapes. It wants to wrap the vertices around corners creating a twisty result, as illustrated here:
I think my main problem is when I run Curivloft, I am unable to use the rotate tool to move the model around and make corrections on all sides...
aperiodic monotile and curviloft
Thanks for any suggestions

Omit these edges...

Run Loft by Spline...

You run run Loft by Spline again on this selection...

To reduce the geometry count set the Segments to 1s...
