I'm currently attempting to do a shadow analysis on the roof facade of a building using TIG's Shadow Projector (https://sketchucation.com/plugin/1292-tig_shadowprojector).

However, more often than not, when I try to process the shadow faces, my Sketchup just crashes. I'm currently using Sketchup Pro 2021.

Anyone got any tips or ideas to solve this issue?

If you have complex geometry or resulting shadows it can take a long time to process everything.
You report is unclear if it's a proper 'bugsplat' or simply takes a long time ??
If you have the Ruby Console open during the processing do any error messages appear ?
If SketchUp 'hangs' and becomes unresponsive, then does the Task Manager dialog show it doing anything ??

Consider simplifying the shadow-casting and/or shadow-receiving geometry to optimize what needs to be done...

          Hi TIG!

Sorry, for not including enough details in my beginning statement. But yes, it consistently produced proper bugsplats on certain surfaces.

I did, however, managed to overcome the problem by segmenting my surfaces into smaller parts.

Would you have any general advice on how I can prevent this issue from happening in the future?

Thanks for your great extension btw.

          Cheers,
