SketchUp Pro 2021 - constantly crashing
-
Hi,
Does anyone know why my model keeps crashing? It is not a big model and it keeps crashing several times per hour. It happens almost every time I click "save" button, even after an updating a 2D object in my model.
In the past, I had models much bigger and I did not have this issue. My computer is gamer's PC computer. It should be good to handle my SketchUp model. However, I do not know what to check to make sure it is not a computer-related issue.
I will appreciate any help from the lovely community of SketchUp lovers:)Gracias,
Elena

It's impossible to say without more information. Good be a graphics issue, could be something with the geometry, could be an extension, could be the save to location, could be something else. Are you getting Bug Splats when SketchUp crashes? Or does it just close?
Share the .skp file so we can see what you've got.

Try giving thomthom: CleanUp v3.4.3 a shot.
Be sure and leave "Erase Hidden Geometry" and "Erase Stray Edges" unchecked which can delete hidden groups, components and line work you may have.
Run it twice. Make sure to save a duplicate file first. Like Dave said it could be anything but this sometimes worked for me.

Hi buddy,
Thank you for your help. I see that you answered a few of my questions in the past. Thank you!
I do get ID number for the crash every time but I do not know what to do with it:(
Hm, it looks as I am not able to attached my SketchUp model to this messaage...Thanks for the offer to look into it.
Yesterday, I also cleaned a little bit my PC disk memory. The disk I am currently using still has almost 30 GB left. I also have another empty disk. So it should not be memory disk issue.
I will start working on my model today and see if it will get better. The issue started about a week ago and it slows me down a lot:(Thank you for me so wonderful and helpful, buddy:)

If you are submitting the Bug Splat reports with something to identify they came from you, it would be possible to contact SketchUp tech support and ask them to look at them and see if they can identify what is happening at the time the crash occurs.

Hi everyone,
I have figured out the issue - I did run out of space and had to move files to another hard disk before I could continue working on my Sketchup model without moving the file.
Thank you everyone for your help!L
