Did the snapping behavior change somehow when SU moved from 2016 to 2017? Is it same on 2020?
Midpoint snapping is usually showing just a square. Not the blue dot? Well, randomly yes. Snapping seems to have very random behavior now?

Perhaps it's just because I'm running SU on Linux?

Not really sure which version they changed the inference engine dot appearance but it did get tweaked.

Well that's sad. I feel so sharp and easy drawing on 2016. Just sticking to 2016.

Note that Linux is not an officially supported platform, so you may experience problems / unexpected behaviour when doing so.

That's true. 2016 is just running 98% perfectly for me on Linux. 2020 has gold rating on Wine compat. layer. I have to try on my Win8 lap. how 2017 feels.
