Hidden geometry

Hi
Can anybody tell me why, when I design half of a component, I copy and paste flip it around so I now have a left and right hand
I join them together, and intersect the 2 parts together
Suddenly there is hidden geometry mess are over the services
The 2 parts are totally clean before I join them -
Please explain more about what you mean by "join them together and intersect the 2 parts together". That is, what specific tools and steps did you do?

When you select two parts then right click, scroll down to intersect faces,with model or with selection

It also happens when you pull a circle through a part

If it happens with a circle through a flat face there is a problem with your model. Most likely is that the flat face isn't actually flat. Or there is stray hidden geometry floating around your model, perhaps even stored in your template.
You need to attach a model that shows the problem so we can see what is causing it. -
How do you post a design

Hi - To add one ore more files (jpg, skp,...) press "Post a reply" directly here as you have already done it so far. In the reply input window please scroll down a little bit and use the options shown in the added screenshot.
(JPGs, for example, get displayed in your post as an image directly, while SKPs get only displayed as a file attachment then. Using the Preview button will show you the appearance of your post)
By the way: if you post a SKP, please remember that it is useful to save the file back to a significantly older SKP version - this will allow significantly more participants here to help if necessary since not all members here use a new SkUp version
