Old pro license
-
Hi, I used to use sketchup daily for drawing exhibitions, I changed my job around 2014/5 and have only picked up sketchup sparingly since. At the time my license was around £4/500 and was Mac specific, I think Trimble had recently bought SU from google.
A friend wants to do some drawings, I’ve said he can borrow my computer as I assume it will still work just be out of date. Will this work or will I get prompted to upgrade to the subscription model?
Have there been any major changes in how it functions? Assume not as that was the selling point. The free online version might well suffice but I’m unaware of its limitations as never used it.
Whilst I’m here is there a sketchucation type forum for Cinema4D might have a look as it’s more suited to my current work.
Thanks for any advice

The program would likely function if the license was never removed. Many features will no longer work such as geo-location and access to the 3D Warehouse. There might be a notice when it is started that there's a new version but that can be ignored.
Keep in mind that if you've updated the OS since that SketchUp version was released, there may be issues with SketchUp running. That's not unusual, especially on Macs, but it may run OK, too. You'd have to try it and see what happens.

Cheers, I did think why don’t I just start it up after I posted. Hard drive takes 5 mins to get going .
