Duplicate component problem
-
Hi all
I have had this problem for a while, and i cannot find a solution for the problem.
Is there a way to find and delete components or groups that are placed in the same position?
If the same component are placed multiple times in the same location, they are impossible to spot without temporary moving or deleting the component. Not even Z fighting, because the material is the same.Is there anyone who has seen a post regarding this, or know a plugin that can purge something like this?
Thanks

I've never had this problem myself but I've seen other models where the author has done this. You don't need a plugin to fix this. The easy fix is to select one--check Entity Info and Outliner to be sure you've only got one. Use Edit>Copy or the appropriate keyboard shortcut to copy it to the clipboard. Then select all of the copies that are stacked together and hit Delete. Finally, use Edit>Paste in place to paste the single copy back where it came from.
Doing this will be faster than a plugin anyway. Especially if you have a keyboard shortcut for Paste in place.

Hi dear participants - is there really any reason to "punish" members with thumbs down?
Anyone can only recommend what she/he thinks might be helpful right now. If any - well intentioned in this case! - suggestions or advices should not be good, then please at least argue...Best
