AttributeDictionaries in SketchUp
-
Hi
Author of X plugin uses AttributeDictionaries to store attributes of the component.
When I create kitchen cabinet 800mm wide, and I want to create another 900mm it is very simple to do just copy/paste and use Fredoscale to change size. But the problem is all attributes are gone.
Attributes of component sub-component missing, the same story with renaming. When I rename component all custom attributes gone. Is there any way to rename/copy/clone components and keep AttributeDictionaries settings?Thank you

What is "X plugin"?
Can you share a SketchUp file that has the two cabinets so we can have a look?

Hi
I prefer not to say the name because I do not know if the author would have something against it.

Why would the author have something "against it"? It appears that the attributes are added by the extension and are displayed as part of the extension's user interface. None of the components in your file have any attributes on their own so it looks like the mystery extension would be required.
The first thing you should do is read the extension's Help files if it has any and see what it says about making additional cabinets. Then if you still haven't figured it out, contact the author for help. I'm sure they will be able to help you out.

Hi
The extension is CutList Bridge and the cabinet was made by me, by extension I can just add "cutlist" attributes.
Anyway, author just send me message :
"I am writing an extension that I will send you tomorrow to try."Thanks

Well, there you go. Solved by going to the source.
