I get a report of a startup error which I believe to be something to do with a plugin. I have removed the only trial plugin I know of but the error persists, any idea's?

      Error: SketchUp:1:in `eval'

I could be wrong but, I think that has to do with a Vray plugin looking for a license.

I suspect that for anyone to be able to resolve this load problem for you they will need to see the full Error message.
What you have given here is a bit like saying 'my bowl of fruit has all gone rotten, there was a banana in the bowl.'
If we could look at the bowl we might see the rotten apple.

Believe it or not, that is the whole message. I know, I was expecting something more informative so I could sort the issue but not the case. I do not have Vray either, Twilight and Maxwell.

I remember having the same issue a while back and it ended up being related to a trial version of Vray that I never activated, even when removed from plugins I kept getting that warning. I have since moved to a new PC, still have that warning on old PC.

                Definitely a weird one.

Thanks for thinking of this but, frankly, I have never installed v-ray and see no reason to.

This won't be of much immediate help, but the back of my mind is saying that I've seen someone report that peculiar error message before. I think it indeed had to do with a problem in an extension that made the Ruby interpreter fail before even getting to the point of processing line numbers or source code. I'd resort to the tried and true method of turning off half of the extensions at a time until the problem goes away (or resurfaces if it went away with the previous binary splits).

Thanks, I don't know why I did not think of that.

Follow and rotate was the culprit.
