Not something I usually model but I'm reading a book (ThinBlade) that had a great description of the Wizard's Den that I had to try to model it.
Used a lot of models from the Warehouse (many thanks to the modellers) a mish mash of Gothic/Rustic/Elizabethan/Jacobian/Renaisance items.
      I used SU8 and rendered in Simlab7.
I LAWAYS have a terrible time with lighting so I apologize for that. Everytime I use Simlab I have to re-teach myself the program but its very stable and usually doesn't chuck me out of the process very often.
I had fun doing this and looks just like I imagined the room.
      Cheers

Very nice, a png flame unit might be better, with the background deleted.

Nice, but the texture on the wall is just way wrong/bad no offence meant.

Thanks for comments and no offence taken.
The walls are problematic but couldn't figure out how to scale properly in renderer- I tried every stone option available and then gave up. The fire looked ok in SU but didn't translate, sometimes you just can't use a fudge factor. I used to use Lightup to render and there was a 'flickering' candlelight object that was very cool but if I remember correctly it only worked in a rendered animation which makes sense.

Nice, but I picture a wizard's den as dark and moody, not bright and cheerful. But hey, that's just me πŸ˜‰

Thanks Bryan and hellnbak for feedback
Toned down the cheerfulness by 'switching' off the walls-I had somehow assigned them as emitters 😳 And indeed, dark goings on did manifest in the book's Wizard's Den.
It would be very cool if there was a way to add an animated gif (like your avatar) of a roaring fire in the fireplace.
