Any one having problems with Profile Builder 3?

I've used Profile Builder since the first version. I recently upgraded to PB3 and am having great trouble as it is not working with the Sketchup VCB. I reinstalled PB2 to test and that version works fine.

In PB2 if I select a profile drag my direction and enter a length in the VCB window. The profile group is created to that length. This does not work in PB3. In PB3, after I've dragged the direction, the VCB will not allow any input. I have to click an end point. Entering a length after clicking does not affect the group created by PB3, whereas any other Sketchup tool, including PB2 will accept and adjust to entered VCB input.

In addition, Esc does not get me out of a BP3 process as it does in PB2. I have to click an end point to exit PB3. And if the distance is incorrect, I must open the group and edit it as the VCB does not function.

Anyone else having problems with PB3? I did send an email to Mindsight last week but no response yet.

I cant say I have tried this before in any of the versions, but I just test and indeed it doesn't work. I would shoot Dale and email.

Hi Calypso,

I am sure you have seen our response by now to this request that also came through our Help Desk.

We are aware of this issue and plan to release a an update very soon, hopefully within the next two weeks.

One workaround is to middle-mouse orbit your view to make sure that the SU viewport is 'in focus' prior to typing in the dimensional input. Hope this helps!
