Spaciship? Spaciship!
-
...but I decided to do some more bow and gun detail instead.
-
Okay, now the aft updates. Still just roughing out the mass blocks. I have no pictures for reference of this angle, so I am making it up as I go.
The starboard side of the ship will be the same. There is only a port side drawing of the ship.
-
An updated view from the starboard side. It definitely has a classic overall Japanese sci-fi spaceship shape.
-
Some detail change to the section next to the bridge and some detail added to the keel.
-
Landing bay pod updated.
-
Updated overview.
-
Just for fun, x-ray!
-
More detail added.
From here on I will post only substantial changes. As you can see, most of the detail is just basic random shapes that can be added however any one feels like.
-
Great progress. Looking forward to some renders of finished model.
-
Seconded, brahma mate, pure magic.
-
More bow detail.
-
Top midship detail added.
-
I've simplified the top middle section. It was getting too complicated. Now just a box on top of a box with angled front and rear.
Yes these is space underneath it.

Thanks, but the design credit goes to Junji Obuko. I'm just recreating it. I'll post the original sketch when I'm done.
Remember, the key here is simple shapes, some a little angled, combined to make seemingly complex models.
I also just fiddle with it an hour or two each day. I've learned that for me, too many hours all at once makes me lose sight of my end goal and also creates mistakes that have to be fixed later.

That 'W' word gets everywhere. Good Progress there mate.

well spoken Mike so I need to improve my English vocabulary for this series hereBryan, I love these ship-like frame struts inside the hangar (is it one or the intake of an engine?)

Thanks.
It is a hanger. The struts are very simple.
In the second picture I've just today, reduced the thickness, did a small offset and then push pull, both front and back.

Sketchy man!
-
Starboard side shaping up. I just copied the two mass blocks near the bridge and then "Scale -1" to mirror.
-
More detail added to the landing bay.
