Trim a Bitmap?

I have a bitmap, png, of a fruit without a background. when it's imported into SU it has a white background and interferes with the image. Can one Trim a Bitmap?

hi - it makes sense to use a png, which is already provided with an alpha channel.
This "(non-)background" becomes transparent in SkUp already then.
So you can avoid the redrawing of a contour in SkUp for deleting the white surface then.

A couple of other options exist. You can use TIG's Image Trimmer with a PNG with transparent background. It's part of his SKM Tools which is in the Sketchucation PluginStore. Or you can use BMP Tracer which is available here See this.

One of the main benefits of Dave's suggestion of Tig's image trimmer is that the trimmed png will cast a correct shadow rather than a block.
