Insert a SketchUp file and not show components

Hello,
Is there a way to insert a sketchup model made with lots of components into another file, sort of like an AutoCad reference file, and not have all the components of the inserted file show in the Components tray?

No, components loaded externally will end up in the component browser.You could try Xref extension by TIG...
