If 4D has measuring tools then yes.

Export to OBJ and make sure model units and Swap Axis is checked.

Say Rich, should I select any of the model units like ' or cm? This is going to someone over in the UK if that matters.

OBJ by default uses its own units. Setting the export to match the model units in SketchUp means the app importing can apply the correct scale.

So if you model in CM then exports in CM.

I'm more interested to know if Cinema 4D dimensions meshes. There's a paid plugin...

Measure It Creates Flexible Dimensioning in Cinema 4D

Measure It plugin offers an easy to use and flexible system for creating dimensioning in Cinema 4D for technical designers and motion artists alike

...so it suggests that Cinema 4D doesn't dimension as standard.

That's a beautiful render video and a great model, beautiful design. You can apply texture to orient like that in SketchUp. With Fredo's Thrupaint and other ways. First find a circular board!
