Looking for a brief or challenge....Please.

Hello all, its hot out there ...approaching 38C today, so I will be staying indoors but need a "mission" and I want to produce something for my sketchup and rendering folio.
I am not sure how to pose this, but I would like to start a thread to invite a brief/briefs from forum members that others could respond to, rather than concocting their own. Would anyone care to post any ideas to those ends? -
Sounds like a good idea. Now to think of an idea that I don't want to selfishly save for myself...
Brief:
Create a well-stocked and inviting bar area
The bar should draw from a 40s aesthetic, oozing class but hinting at the effects of war and a troubled society
Textures are not required, but colour values should at least be indicated, either in block colour or monochrome. Polygon density should not be unnecessarily high, but nor should you sacrifice the look of the piece for the sake of saving polygons.Have fun if you decide to take the brief

Things that once were or things that have not yet come to pass.
Like ruins. Recreate a Mayan pyramid both in ruined state and restored with all the colored plaster.
Famous fictional places or scenes in literature. I'd like to try the house from "Little Big" that has 5 different style facades and other idiosyncrasies (but you have to read the book to gather ideas).
I know, too wide a suggestion.

Hi Guys thank you so much for your thoughts. The 1940's bar requiring the "scars' and nuance of a war effected economy and the sketchup forum link (with some interesting suggestions that may have merit) and little big house ( I need to research that) all sound really interesting and I hope the inspire and challenge others.
Thing is I failed to communicate my thoughts well at all I am trying to build a portfolio and gain experience in Architectural Visualisation. So am looking for a brief in that sphere. Atm I am plagiarising other peoples architectural concepts and putting my own spin on it or designing out of my head and working with spontaneous variations and atmospherics. My most successful stuff has been watching a movie and finding an image within the movie that inspires, and doing a model/render trying to recreate and putting a spin on it that makes it mine. But without referencing that image further than my original mental snapshot (see attached image as an example of a mental screenshot from "The Martian 2015) The result looks very different from the inspiring screenshot once I referenced it on completion of the render, As I added people and changed it to look more contemporary.
Sorry about the ramble but that was my way of giving ideas for inspiration to others. And in light of that asking for other ideas/brief/conceptual start point specifically something that may impress Architects requiring an architectural visualisations, especially building exteriors. Any further input and ideas welcome.OK I just read that back and it sounded a bit Blah... Blah....Blah. Hope it is understandable to others
