Does anyone out there know of a method, or plugin, for stretching/scaling an object and maintaining its area? I'm working through floor plan programming exercises and it would be oh-so-helpful to be able to quickly stretch things and see them intelligently maintain their area.

An example: if a took a square that's 10'x10' (100SF) and stretched it by 2x in one axis it would compress by 1/2 in the other axis. this new dimension (20'x5') effectively maintaining the 100SF area.

To go one step further, how about stretching a 3D mass and maintaining its volume?

thanks for any guidance - Corey D

Probably a dynamic component could do it.
