Moving object between layers

To Move an object between layers,I use the menu in the entity info window. That's not so handy. because you have to search in the list wich is not completely visible. So are there different ways to move objects to another layer ?

To assign another layer to selected object[s] there are two dropdown lists of layers available to choose from - one in the 'Entity Info' dialog and the other one in the 'Layers' Toolbar.
