Luxrender SU2LUX SU2015 help!
-
Hi all. I have SU2LUX_045b.rbz in the appropriate folder I believe (C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins).
I'm running SU2015, I am unable to see/locate/make work the SU2LUX plugin while I'm in SU. Please, if anyone has any thoughts I would be very grateful.
Thanks!!!

Taking your statement at face value...
You have NOT installed that extension at all.
The RBZ file is an archive containing the various elements which make it work.
Normally these RBZ files arrive in your Downloads folder.
You do NOT move it into your Plugins folder.
Please move it back to somewhere else. Now within SketchUp, use its ..Preferences > Extensions > Install Extension button [in newer version this tool has been moveb into ..Window > Extension Manager...]
Find the appropriate RBZ file and its contents will be installed - with no more effort... -
TIG!
What a lifesaver you are! I had no idea that certain or all/any extensions are now loaded this way. I normally use the Sketchucation store and load/install through there. Maybe I have been mistaking the old way of doing plugins. I've been using sketchup even before Google took it over, way back. I thought that just depositing the .rbz files in the appropriate folder would do the trick. Not in 2015 at least.
Thank you so much for your quick reply, simple fix and comprehensible instructions.
Cheers!

If you are used to the SketchUcation Toolset, and prefer that, then you can use it instead of the native installer...
Its submenu includes "SketchUcation Archive Installer..." which does what the native installer does...
It works for RBZ archives - and additionally for even ZIP files, although these are now a lot less common these days - most things now come as RBZ format...
