      Hi all,
I was wondering if it would be possible to animate change of size (scale) using scenes in Sketchup. For example, I have a circle of radius 1m in Scene 1 and I increased the radius to 2m in Scene two. When I try to animate this, it is not working. The circle size is not changing. I would be grateful if one can tell me how I can animate the growth of the size of a circle.
      Many thanks.

Would something like this work? I've made five circles from 1 m radius to 2 m radius. Each one is a component and each component is on a different layer. One layer at a time is visible in each of five scenes. It would go smoother with more intermediate steps.

With more frames you can get smoother animation as in these examples which were done the same way.

Thanks Dave. What I was actually hoping for is to use the scale tool to animate the size of a single circle instead of adding a couple of different size circles. Apparently you can do this with the "Keyframe Animation" plugin (saw it on youtube) but it is not a free tool.

It's not possible with the Scale tool by itself. You'd need to use some extension to make that happen

Take a look at Fredo6's Animator plugin. It will do what you want.
