I find it really really hard to use two sided material on surfaces with mapped texture. Often I lose the map or the map placement is messed up or out of scale. Since there is no preview in the model, I cant tell how it will come out in render.

One example is a leaf, or a flower petal. I like to make it a bit translucent to make it more natural.

Does anybody have a solution on this..?

maybe a tricky solution would work , i.e. a larger texture that covers a bit more of the petal.... also inter-active render helps a lot.... I am also passionate to see what would be the solution...

Ive seen it done in leaves for trees, I wonder how they kept the placement accurate.

I think Vray should consider applying some translucency to a material without having to make it into 2 sided material - or maybe that is an option I have not tackled..
