      Hi mates.
recently I had my hands on V-Ray 3.4 and there was a problem exporting and importing proxy objects and when I tried to render the car proxy model realized that VRay was rendering part of my model in wrong material. when I inspected the original model just discovered that there were 2 different materials in 1 group and so VRay was confusing....
So thought there must be hopefully a plugin or something that would be able to separate model parts to distinct groups based on their materials.
      Is there such a plugin?
I think it would be a great "render preparation" tool.

Having two different materials inside a group shouldn't be a problem. The issue that I discovered with proxies in V-Ray 3.4 is that if you forget to paint just one face somewhere, and leave it with default material, proxy will break and model will be painted without any logic. So, see if you painted everything before you make a proxy, don't leave anything with default material.
