......so it really helps that you post these issues.
But where? Is there an official forum for the sketchup version?
There is not an official forum (not that I know of). But I am sure that me and the guys at Enscape are constantly checking the feedback on the video I released and hopefully to AdamΒ΄s winning with sketchup review.
For now if you post it here or on the videos I will see it and pass it on to the team at enscape. -
I've been doing a bit of testing and am really impressed thus far. Is it completely revolutionary? No. But, the integration into Sketchup and ease of use will really pull in some of the market. The VR support and panoramas are also a plus. It's upside being it's Sketchup integration, is also it's downside as it's very limited to what Sketchup can support. I don't honestly think Enscape will succeed unless it can figure out proxy support. If they can make it work with Skatter and allow for high poly proxy rendering via proxy, they will win over a lot of users. Visually, the GI and AA is amazing. I think up there with the best of them.
Bugs that I've found are with hidden geometry and layers not turning off in Enscape. Quad based texture mapping is not transferring. Also faceme components aren't moving in realtime.
Here are a bunch of my recent test renders to showcase a little of what it can do. These are literally just opening my old scenes and exporting out screenshots. I've done nothing else. I'd like to set up a scene full with plants and see how it does. I did test it on a scene with 3.5 million polys and it did fine. It just took a while to actually start up, but then everything moved around flawlessly. Overall, I would describe Enscape renders as simply "clean". Good color, good crisp lines
I also did a review here that goes through the UI and how to produce and animation, etc. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN1HIwzPv2M

Do you know if a free version (limited of course) will be existing ?
-
@EarthMover - Thank you for a very informative video about Enscape. The part about Wrap-R was also very informative but I currently do not use SubD but I did learn a lot from your video on both topics.
I wish the trial was for longer than 14 days (especially since it is still in Alpha) but I will give it a try.

I agree.
-
I am expecting them to come out with new alpha versions each of 14 day trial periods till they reach release version!
Enscape need to make their presence felt here at sketchucation (afterall this is a fairly large community).. somebody invite them over here already!!! -
Well, I just had to give it a try
Here is an image and a movie I created with VERY LITTLE effort:
and here is the movie:You can only imagine what this tool could look like when it moves on the next stages.
- The render is almost instantaneous
- Making my equipment materials look like metals was so easy thanks to the tips in @EarthMover's video
- Imagine if you could generate an animation with Fredo's Animator plugin and include it
- Would love to be able to generate the exe and see how that works
- Would love to be able to view the Enscape version of a model directly on a web page
- Would like to control the environment a little more (more options than in the current alpha
I could go on with more "wish list" items but IMHO this is amazing for an alpha. In particular, the ease of use and the general quality of the output is amazing. As @EarthMover said in his video, if you had additional stuff available like in some of the competitive products, it would (and maybe already is) a no-brainer.

I updated my drivers on Thursday to the newest ones and still it crashes.
-
Hope you guys get it working. I think you are going to like it. Building renders and movies go really fast.

I am not on Facebook or Instagram so I cannot enter but I do not think my stuff is good enough to win anyway.
I can still have fun with the soft way anyway
-
Updating to OS actually worked, well maybe not update but revert to the last 'public' version. If you know what I mean.
-
Pretty cool, lacks a ton of features but not bad as a quick tool.
-
I need to learn hoe do landscaping around my models.
I thought the rendering was the fastest of any tool I have tried/used. Creating the movie was really fast too.
Yes, a long way to go but it sure looks to me like it has a lot of potential given that this is only an alpha version.
-
Wow this.... impressive software! Very limited as in Alpha now, but looks very very promising.
Just playing around with two high poly model: https://www.facebook.com/digitalifeless/videos/vb.100000599179250/1612788205417803/?type=2%26amp;theater%26amp;notif_t=video_processed%26amp;notif_id=1488795901034718

Can't get it to work either. Loaded and updated through extension manager. When I try to run it I get the egg timer of death, and then crash on mouse click
-
I tried making a video using this... pretty straight forward... hope they put in more tools and controls!!
