Version 2 is out!

One thing I miss is the internal face removal, I found it very handy.
Am I missing it and it is still there somewhere?Version 2 can handle internal faces - so it doesn't prompt you any more.
While working on localising I realised the code is still in there - just never used any more. I was wondering if it would be useful. So your comment is timely. Could expose it as a separate menu.Though, I wonder if there is a strong enough use-case for a preference to force SUbD to ensure a mesh never have inner faces or forks...

You could add it as an option, I for one would use it all the time.
-
I'll make note of that. Thanks for the feedback.

You're welcome, thanks for the great tools.
-
I second what Box says. I'd use the remove internal faces all the time. I miss it a lot.

It's officially on the board for next update.

Something else that bothers me a bit is that you now need to have the group closed to subd the first time. It did work before while in edit mode. Having to step out to subdivide and then open for edit again is slightly annoying. It is only the initial subd so it's not a deal breaker.

Ah - I had not noticed that. I'm not sure that was deliberate. I had to refactor the logic in order to support multiple selected instance.
I logged this as a bug.

JPP - would this be different from Fredo's JPP in any way?
(I really need to fix a number of issues with my current custom PP tool)Proper thickening tool is required while keeping the quads. I find Fredo's JPP not working well-gives me undesirable result.
Thom thom, I really like in the future to be able to edit inside SubD mode, so you get a realtime feedback of your shape.. if possible for your QFT and VT to work inside Subd. that will be best! so we never have to toggle SubD on and off and guess.

Maybe we could ask Fredo if he can add support? Might be the better solution instead of reinventing what he already created.

Yea, been pondering about that. I wanted to first look into if I could create a "preview" window that syncs with SU's viewport. If I can get that working I can look into overlaying it eventually.

On this topic; maybe not revert entirely to v1 behaviour? I can see the case when a mesh have all edges connected to two or more faces - then one can assume you want a manifold.
But, in the scenario of non-manifolds, think for instance t-shapes.
Thoughts?

Yeah that's kinda what I meant by saying, perhaps it could be an option.
Maybe a tic box for Ver 1 or ver 2, so a toggle for Outer shell or As modelled.I've noticed another small bug, sometimes it reverses all faces. I'll try and catch it doing it next time.

hmm... yes please. If you find a way to reproduce I'll look into it. (Could it be related to open instances? Toggling while editing instances?)

Are you the same user that reported this on Extension Warehouse? If not, PM me.

BTW There is a bug on the 'view your cart' page: it is impossible to change the quantity of SubD's and Vert-tools via up\down spinners. I had to buy it from another PC.
It happens if you visited (and clicked 'buy' button) previously. -

FF, Chrome, maybe IE (not sure). Each new visit to buy page adds number of goods without option to tweak. Tried to purge history and erase cookies for this site..
But anyway managed to get some. Great tools, many thanks! -

But from any other page it's working fine, the spinners adjust the amount. -
Hi Thomthom !
First of all, many thanks for all your wonderful plugins, they save me such a precious time in my daily work on SketchUp. I've just bought vertex tools and SubD plugins few week ago and I'm slowly starting to get used to them.
One thing I'm working on is a curved wall with glass panels applied on it. This was achieved using Curviloft and Flowify and it's just an experimentation, not a work that has to be finished. I was wondering if there was a way (with SubD or another maybe) to subdivide only the iner faces of the glass panels. The faces outside that link the glass panels to one another would stay straight whereas the inside faces would be smoothed to have a kind of Gaudi result in the end. Not sure if I'm being clear but that's one thing I couldn't achieve until now with Subd. When I smooth an object, I'd like to be able to decide when it's smoothing a geometry including its bounding edges or not.
I'm thinking here of an example with a water basin. I wanted to subdivide the stopper hole (where the water goes away)so that it's doing a smooth surved transition between the horizontal surface of the water basin but obviously Subd will also subdivide the edges of the horizontal surfaces, which I don't want. Of course, there's always a way to solve things so I just recreated the bounding edges to a rectangle and removed the undesired subdivided edges. Just wondered if you could implant a feature like that...
Thanks for your support.
