Update extensions alert
-
Win 8.1, 64 bit, 2017 Make.
When Make first opens, a "flag" appears on the lower left of the screen stating that ONE extension needs updating, while letting the user to immediately open the extension manager. Now, I would expect that "one" extension to be flagged in some way to set it apart from all the others, but I don't see it. What am I missing? -
Click Manage at the top to go to the manage tab, then scroll down till you see a highlighted Update button.

I get this every time I start SU. Says TT_Lib2 by ThomThom needs updating, then says unable to read file extension.
I have the latest version anyway, annoying.
Now I ignore it and it goes away after a few seconds. -
Baz I would suggest you go to the Extension Warehouse in a browser and sign in again. Then your auto update should work again.
Or you could try signing out and in again from within SU using the icon in the bottom left corner. -
That worked.
Thanks Box.
PS: How is the Glass sculpture going, haven't seen an update for a while. -
It's in the final stages, in other words, sitting lonely in a warehouse waiting for engineers to understand what is needed and for them to produce the drawing (from my detailed SU Model) so we can fabricate some steel work. I would just go ahead and do it myself but as it's a 'Public Sculpture' it has to have proper documentation blah blah blah

Yeah, been there...pita.

Every so often, about 2 weeks maybe, I'm alerted to update plugins that are not even available; Trimble Connect [pro only] & Advanced camera tools [pro only]. It's just a little annoying. The option to uninstall is given, but they are not installed.

You can ignore the message that pops up when SketchUp starts. It's a very small thing and only lasts a few seconds and it doesn't keep you from getting started on your model.

Unique solution!
Really helpful. -
You could pay for the Pro version then it wouldn't bother you.

Yeah. I understand. You might check the Extension Manager once in awhile to see if there are any extensions that are important to you to upgrade. Upgrade them. Do the same with the Sketchucation Extension Store tool. Fredo's updated a number of his extensions recently as well as his Lib_Fredo6 support files. If you have them and installed them with the SCF Extension Store tool, it'll show you that there are updates and you can let it update all of them automatically.
