Hi all, its my first post so big hello to all of You πŸ˜„)

      Here is my question.

I am a craft maker, I make metal tiles like these from link below
      https://www.etsy.com/listing/498513927/tree-of-life-wall-mural-made-of-copper-8

Its quite time consuming and expensive to make all these so it would be nice if I could make them in my laptop πŸ˜‰

I am using another program for vector graphic to design dies embossing tool for these metal tiles.
So let's say I will have vectors ready. Now I will need to extrude shape, add a colors, lights, texture so it would look like real.

I presume its possible in Sketchup ? will I need any plugins ?

      Many thanks for help

      Regards
      Joanna

If your Vector app export to DWG you can import that into SketchUp.

Download the free D'oh Book for SketchUp πŸ“–

to get the different reliefs is basic sketchup. you may want to round the edges, which could entail "round corner plugin" or if this is just needed for rendering, use a bevel function for the texture in the rendering program. To look realistic you need a rendering program, and generally these do have plugins for SketchUp.

            When your volume is done
You have 2 free renders programs directly inside SketchUp
Visualizer (for 2015-2016) Real time render! You can't find more easy!

            A more classical Twillight Hobby

You can use them in the same time! πŸ˜‰

will these renderers be good enough to create a real look of my product ?
