Sketchup 2017
-
Hi All
I downloaded and installed SU Pro 2017. I noticed 2 things
- my 3D Connexion mouse didn't work. checked and I have the most recent driver
- all of the lines appeared much heavier with no apparent way to change. I have both extensions and endpoints deselected
I saved my working file back to SU2016, fired it back up, and my 3D mouse works again, but it is very jumpy in its operation whereas it was always very smooth orbiting before.
Anyone else running into issues like these?
Thanks
Bob

Go to 3DConnexion web site, download their latest driver and install it.

As for the lines appearing heavy, it may be that it's just the style you have chosen. What happens if you open a file you made in SketchUp 2016? Do you still see the heavy edges?

Hi Dave
Yes, the first file I opened was a file I'm working on created in 2016. Heavy lines. SU doesn't have a selection for "Edges" line weight, just profiles, and profiles is deselected. I saved the project in 2017, then saved copy in 2016 format and when I opened SU 2106, the line weights were fine.
Not sure what to make of it.

They made some changes to the way graphics are handled to make edges show up on HD displays. Unfortunately that means edges tend to appear thicker on non-HD displays. On the Mac there's no option to control it at this point.

Us Mac guys are always the poor children at the end of the block! Haha.
Thanks, Dave!
