Flatten 3D model to 2D
-
Just a quick question.
Has anyone got a way to flatten a 3D model to 2D?

-

That didn't go well.
I'll try experimenting a bit more. Thanks for the help though Tig.

One way that works is to set you view. Then go and export a 2D DWG file. Then import this new 2D dwg file back into SU. Yes, only works in the Pro version.

Thanks Glenn. Wish I'd thought of that.

Works best to just export in Top View, Parralel Projection to a DWG and then re-import it into the model.

I've had good luck with the Unwrap and Flatten Faces plugin.
