assigned Key just does not work
Hello to All,
I am wondering why I cant set a Key-Assignment to 'Make Component', well I should say the assigned Key just does not work. I am using BILL of Material quite frequently and there U need to have Components in order to have a decent report of the items used in the drawing.
Can anyone give me a hint or do we have a bug right here.Michael

It's not a bug.
The 'Make Component' tool actually has a default shortcut preset - G.
But before it appears in the Preferences > Shortcuts dialog's filtered list, you must have something[s] preselected that could actually be made into a component, you must make the selection prior to opening that dialog...This occurs in many situations - e.g. if you want to make a shortcut to Reverse faces or to Orient faces, then these will only appear in the filtered list if a face or faces are preselected...

Now this is rather awesome! But thanks so much, cause it works. It never occured to me with other shortcuts and I really have many assigned. Sometimes U just have to ask someone who knows!
Thanks again.
