Model will open only as "Read-Only"

Just tried to open one of my models and I keep getting this error message
Other models will open just fine, problem seems to be with this one only.
Restarted computer, no joy.
Any suggestions?

Never mind. It just decided on it's own to start working. Ain't this a fun program

for a period - less than a year, when we were using SU2015 - we all had this same issue also and with each and every single SU file. However, it was solved when we all updated to SU2016...during this SU2015 time we opened any read-only file, for to save it as file_01, file_02, file_03 ... always the highest number was the current file

I have the same problem in v2015 and i would have expected a simple fix for v2015. Trimble is really insolent not to fix their bugs, but force you to pay for these fixes in an otherwise not needed/useless upgrade. Unbelievable.

I used to have this problem too... what i have noticed that whenever a window was opened with the file in question selected and with the thumbnail display on, that's when that file opened as read only.

LOL!!!!! I really would like to know who is giving a thumbs down on my comment. What's your problem?!? So do you think it is totally normal that such bugs are not being fixed anymore these days? One of the most basic "features" of a software that used to work perfectly fine over the last years?
