I recently bought the 3D Connexion Space Navigator off ThinkEDU for half-price. I love zooming in and out of my airplanes and houses, although I stil need to use the trainer to practice. When I first traveled around using Space Navigator, I found it hard to move because of the direction I had to move my hand in to move through the model.

Pulling backward would go foward in the model. Pushing down would go up. Turning left would go right. I could not see the intuition in that. Has anyone else encountered this?

Also, for every time I open Sketchup, or one of the other 3D Connexion apps, I have to manually reset the mouse mapping to go reverse in every direction. Does anyone know why that is? Will an update in the future change this?

Are you using the latest drivers?

Are you on SU8 as your profile mentions?

Yes, I'm using the current drivers. No, I'm actually on Sketchup 2016. I should have mentioned that information in my post. I should probably update my profile info πŸ˜„
