This was first placed in the SketchUp forum:
"After resetting Windows 10 and reinstalling SketchUp and all my normal extensions, now when I open SUp, open a model, or click on File-New, the ExtensionStore from SketchUcation pops up, never happened before and I can't find a way to remove it without removing the SketchUcation extension.

    Any ideas?"

    Tig gave me several suggestions:
    @unknownuser said:

When you say the ExtensionStore from SketchUcation pops up I assume you mean the dialog opens ?
The toolbar itself will be there if you have activated it.

I have the same set up as you and I don't see the issue [I assume you have SketchUp v2016].
Thousands of users do too, so something is up with your installation...

But... you are really posting in the wrong forum.
Please post in the appropriate thread over at SketchUcation...
    Before that...
Can I suggest you open the SketchUp.../Plugins folder and find the SketchUcation .rb file and matching folder and manually delete them [if you have a file-named !SketchUcation_loader.rb then also delete that].
If you have copied files over manually you might have unexpectedly broken something - a clean installation, uses the latest RBZs is always recommended].
Then download the latest RBZ for the toolset and reinstall it using SketchUp's Preferences > Extensions > Install Extension... button.
To be doubly sure restart SketchUp...
    Report over at SCF...

There is no way that the dialog's code gets activated without a user's deliberate button-click on its toolbar or the submenu item, or a shortcut-key is assigned and it is pressed [or perhaps you have done that and a keyboard glitch is happening?]

When you click on File > New does it open a New SKP, or just the dialog ?

Can I also suggest you reinstall / repair your SketchUp installation using the exe installer - making sure you right mouse-click and use 'run as administrator' NOT double-click it - even if you have admin-rights, unfortunately under Win10 SketchUp v2016 can install oddly, unless it is install by the real admin [i.e. please don't do it ร  la double-click as a 'user-with-admin-powers' - you are NOT the same thing].
After a reinstall/repair all preexisting plugins/extensions should be retained...

So after reinstalling the SCF toolset AND SketchUp...
    Any improvement ?

Deleted the SketchUcation.rb file, it was the only thing listed that Tig said to delete.
As I reloaded a fresh copy of the RBZ file the dialog popped up!
Restarted SketchUp clicked on File-New and the dialog popped up!
Did a repair (as administrator) and restarted SketchUp, the dialog popped up!

I actually told you to delete the ../Plugins folder's SketchUcation .rb file AND its subfolder [i.e. the folder of the same name] and another file !SketchUcation_loader.rb [if you had it copied over].

I also told you to do a reinstall or a repair of your current SketchUp installation [ run as an administrator ]...

There is NO way the SketchUcation tool's dialog "pops up" like this - assuming that you have a healthy installation of the toolset AND of SketchUp itself...

Please try the SketchUp reinstall/repair and see what happens after a restart...

But... IF after that, it still continues to be an issue, then please disable all plugins [use the SketchUcation Plugins Manager] except the shipped 'su_...' plugins and of course the SketchUcation toolset.
      Then restart SketchUp...
If the issue repeats, then I believe that it must be a SketchUp [or Win10] installation issue.
However, if it is resolved, then you must have another flaky plugin loading, which is causing this extremely odd behavior !

Have you tried running SketchUp initially using 'run as admin...' - right-click on the SketchUp exe [or shortcut] icon...
See if that helps - you might have odd permissions ??

Everything was deleted, there was no ..._loader.rb file unless it was in the deleted folder.

I disabled all extensions and plugins, except the su_ ones, then I deleted the SketchUcation file and folder again (still no SketchUcation_loader.rb file, there is a SCF_loader.rb file in the subfolder), reinstalled it again through preferences and downloaded a fresh copy of SketchUpMake-en-x64.exe and did another repair. Ran SketchUp as administrator and got the dialog popup when SketchUp started!

I agree, there is more than likely an issue either with Windows 10 or my computer, funny though that only SketchUp seems to be affected.

          This is plain weird. ๐Ÿ˜•

          Please consider doing this...
Go to Win 10, left end of toolbar Window icon right-click > Control Panel > Programs and Features and UNINSTALL 'SketchUp 2016'.
When that's completed, then find your latest "SketchUpMake-en-x64.exe" installer, right-click on it and in the context-menu choose 'run as administrator'...

After that's fully reinstalled try again...
With only the 'su_' and 'SketchUcation' plugins loading [all others disabled with the SCF Plugins Manager...].

Incidentally don't worry about the ../Plugins/!SketchUcation_loader.rb file - if you copied some v2 files over from an earlier version it might have been their - it's no longer needed and the newest files would normally delete it and tell you to restart again anyway.
If it's not there don't worry - it should be !

It could be something wrong with Win 10, but I have a very similar set up to you [only difference is it's Pro], have you tried checking/repairing the Windows 10 installation ?

You are not going to believe this.

First I tried a repair of Window 10, ran SFG /scannow and DISM both reported some problems weren't fixed.

BTW this is a new reset of my Windows 10 Pro system, performed on 2/23/16

I uninstalled SketchUp, then reinstalled it, as administrator. When I ran it, the first time, the Extension Store dialog popped up, no I did not install the extension, but its there. This stuff is way above my pay grade.

It's almost cocktail hour, so i'm done for the day. I'll think long and hard about a complete system restore to factory settings.

              3 days later ...

After much hassle I was able to get my Restore Disks to work, restored my computer to factory setting, upgraded Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, downloaded/loaded Sketchup and ran it, downloaded SketchUcationTools. In SketchUp Windows/Preferences/Extensions-install extensions, installed SketchUcationTools and up pops the Extension Store dialog. And when I run SketchUp the dialog pops up. At least I was able to disable it and it quits popping up.

When you say you install SketchUcation toolset from the RBZ, and up pops the SketchUcation dialog, do you mean the large main-dialog listing various plugins, OR the smaller toolbar with three icons [red/blue/gray] ?
The SketchUcation toolbar is automatically active when the SketchUcation Extension is activated.
You can deactivate its toolbar it by using the Extensions > SketchUcation submenu entry to toggle it off/on, or use native View > Toolbar-dialog to deactivate the SketchUcation entry, or simply click on its close button... [You'll then need to use the View > Toolbar-dialog, or Extensions > SketchUcation submenu entry to reactivate it (toggle)]
You can deactivate the Extension itself using Window > Preferences > Extensions and un-checking the SketchUcation entry.

You previously said the SketchUcation dialog was opening when you used File > New - I now suspect you really meant the SketchUcation Toolbar ?
It should stay off when deactivated as outlined above...

If NOT, then can you please provide a screen-shot of the flaky behavior ?

Assuming the main-dialog is being flaky...

Whenever you tell us the install SketchUp you skim over the part about 'as admin'...

If you do NOT select the SketchUp installer-exe icon and right-click > context-menu > Run as Administrator - then SketchUp will install with potential weird happenings stored up for later...
Simple being a user with admin-powers is NOT the same, so double-clicking the exe or using context-menu > Run, will NOT work properly and result is weird issues...

Thousands of users of Win 10 and v2016 AND the SketchUcation ExtensionStore plugin have no issues like this, so something is adrift with your set up...

That's why I suspect a faulty SketchUp installation, resulting in subsequent flaky extension installations/operations [not just SCF's]

If you have NOT installed SketchUp by running its installer as the administrator, then I suggest you do the following...
                Close SketchUp.
Ensure you have your SketchUp 2016 installer-exe at hand for use later...
Right-click Win 10 icon bottom-left of Windows toolbar > Control Panel > UNINSTALL SketchUp 2016...
When that is complete, use 'Run as Administrator' on the installer-exe icon as explained at the start of this post.
When that's done, reinstall ALL of your extensions/plugins.
The earlier uninstall will have left them intact, but in case the flaky SketchUp has damaged permissions etc, I recommend you start afresh.
Install them a few at a time, and test to see if there are issues...

                Report back...

If should not be so difficult ๐Ÿ˜•
