wherever the smoke comes from - it has not be manipulated by a VW software anyway

I've been hearing a lot about skatter, is it a tool limited for use with or for Thea?

Skatter works with Thea, Vray and Kerkythea for now with render only. Meaning it can scatter proxies or geometry that is not visible in SU but only appears when rendering.
It can also scatter geometry in the SU view so it will work with any renderer that way.
