Keyboard shortcuts not being saved

So I found that my keyboard shortcuts should be saved under this path: MachintoshHD/Users/[User name]/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp #/SketchUp/Shortcuts.plist.

but for me I dont have a Library file inside my user name folder, perhaps this is why my keyboard assignments arent being saved hence why I am here

any suggestions please?

That 'Google' path applies to SketchUp versions <= 8...
For newer versions the appropriate plist is found in:
/Users/User_Name/Library/Application Support/SketchUp ####/SketchUp/Shortcuts.plist
Where the #### will be 2013|2014|2015 etc
Note that in v2015 the "Plugins" menu was renamed "Extensions" by Trimble, so any shortcuts copied from an earlier version plist, which will look for "Plugins" will not work: however, you can edit the copied plist with a plain-text editor and replace any "Plugins/" with "Extensions/" - when SketchUp is started the plist should then work properly - assuming the equivalent Plugins are installed and available in that menu...

Also remember that you need to hold the 'alt' key as you click the menu to include "Libraries" to the "Finder" menu...
