since my start with SU6, i used thoroughly the: mirror on red/green/blue axis feature in the context menu.
Sometimes i tried plugins in the hope to get that basic feature in a toolbar plugin version, but in vane. I saw several interesting align tools, usable, but not necessarily one-click commands.

Isn't there a mirror ruby maybe with toolbar, offering the same basic mirror-functions as i search?
If there isnt, im able to cobble together a toolbar myself, but id need the commands doing the mirroring. Thanks for any help!

TIG is a great coder, but this plugin is again a kind of align-tool. The mirror options of the context menu are faster and simpler

A basic search in the SCF PluginStore for 'mirror' returns this !

How much easier could we make it ?

It is NOT an 'align tool'...
There are several of those around too...
It mirrors the selection about a point, line or plane.
The usual usage is about a plane, which is defined by three picked points.
You then have the choice of keeping the copy or mirroring the original...
It can never be a 'one-click command' because you need to communicate to SketchUp the nature of your mirroring desires - about a point, a line or a plane 😒
How is Sketchup going to know how you want the 'flip' to be oriented.
The context-menu does them axially - so it's almost one-click [if that's all you need use that!], but to mirror freely about some arbitrary picked point/line/plane needs a little more input from you - the users...

You want the "flip" commands to be provided in icon format? Maybe another approach is to set a key command (shortcut).

yes, thats a good way. In the past i used tons of keyboard shortcuts, but nowadays i prefer toolbars. Nevertheless, thanks!

Thanks, but you need not to explain what your plugin does, its obvious. Its perfect for those who want more control over the mirroring action. Btw, wasnt my intention to reduce your work, you made a great script.

Since im a huge fan of toolbar buttons, id enjoy to have those simple mirror commands shipped with su only, but as three scripts.

somebody so generous to share how to mirror objects, like with the common flip along red/green/blue axis shipped with Su?
shortcuts are a good way, as Driven correctly pointed out, but sometimes i get a beep with these commands mapped on shortcut key. 😕

i searched alredy for snippets on the Su Ruby api documentation, but cant find one …

                      Hi Jojo9
using shortcuts also was my choice in the same matter.
                      I wanted to use "Alt + x", "Alt + y" and "Alt + z" because I was
used to these shortcuts by another software I use.
Forum member Cotty gave me this little help to do so:
