Modelling a tramway
-
Yes I know that one. Thank you. Last weekend it was the last day of these streetcars in our city.
this one is goinig to be modelled someday...
I have one of the same company but differnt type....

-
Those are beautiful. Always sad to see reliable older infrastructure consigned to history.
Especially after decades service. I understand the need to modernise but I find the design choices for the replacement tech is dull and lacks character.
I love to see engineering and mechanics.
-
We are happy, that we were able to preserve one Model of each gerneration. This was hard enough.
these are still able to run: (current pictures)

-
@jo-ke I am wondering how do you do the texturing!
-
@majid in which case? In sketchup?
-
The rusted one... It seems a nightmare to be textured!
-
@majid Ah, OK I see.
luckily this is a 3D Scan of an existing one, so it is porperly textured
-
Oh yes, otherwise it would be a real nightmare to texture such a thing.
-
and a new video of my city:
-
The result is great! Shot selection I really liked. The building remained the hero element in every angle so noticing the imported 3D buildings was largely avoided.
You must be delighted with the end result!
-
Thank you rich.
and here's a shot

and a tramway:

I am also so impressed
Do you know what's really bad JoKe? Of course the building plays the main role - but I constantly look at all the things around it and ask myself βhow does this guy do it?!?
Probably a thing among us here, knowing about the effort and skill it takes to do it all in this quality I guess
Yes, great -
@jo-ke This last videoβ¦. Iβm speechless. I salute you.

-
Super nice work jo-ke

-
Thank you for the kind words
here's the place in googlemaps:(same view)
