Installation issue
-
I've had a look around but cant find anything about this issue so hopefully this isn't a repost of a common problem,
If it is, please feel free to point me at other discussions on it.I am trying to install the latest version of sketchup make. I can download the .exe and run it. whilst installing, it gets to 98% and the says "an error occurred in prebootstrapper could not run setup.exe"
Does anyone have any experience of this and how to get it to install?
I'm running an HP 450 with windows 7 if that helps.
I read on the sketchup site that its sometimes possible to install it from a temp folder but mine doesn't seem to have got as far as creating the required folder.
Any help would be much appreciated

Did you re-download the .exe file in case your one is corrupt?
Did you right click the .exe file and 'Run as Admin'
I seem to remember someone posting similar and there was a driver clash with either bluetooth or wifi?
Disable both and retry.

Thanks for the response.
I've redownloaded the file from a variety of browsers just on the off chance its something chrome was doing but no luck.
I'm right clicking and selecting run as admin and have tried with the bluetooth and wifi disabled.
Still no luck. Contact details for support seem to only exist if I buy pro. Does anyone know how to get in touch for tech support for make?

Thanks for the help, Just thought I'd come back and post as i now have the issue fixed.
Turns out that due to a previous install of Sketchup, there were hidden files in appdata. I had removed all of the files that I could find that related to sketchup but I had to instruct the computer to show hidden files.
Thanks again
