      HEllo,

I've got a new bug on sketchup 2015 on windows 8 64. When I triy to open a "secondary" window (don't know how to call them), for example clocking on "make component", or the bucket to add texture, the tools window does not show.
Actualy I can tel it opens it somewhere because my main window is not in focus anymore, and if i try to click somewhere on my model, I got the windows sound that mean you're trying to work in a background windows you cannot go before closing the current one. But I can't see it anywhere.

I've got two screens fyi. But I do not see any tiny bit of those windows anywhere. I tried ctrl+alt+tab, closing every other windows, but I can't find them.

      any clue?

      thanks in advance,

Not likely a bug. Did you try Preferences>Workspace>Reset Workspace?

When you have multi screens the dialogs can get misplaced when you change your setup, or just because you held your mouth wrong.
As Dave says above reset the workspace in the preferences window.......but often that window is one of the missing ones.
There are several ways to find wandering windows,
right click the desktop, screen resolution and move the virtual monitors around until you find the window.
There's a regedit that will bring them all back, but scary if you aren't familiar with editing the registry.

Simplest one, Go Window/Preferences (to make the preference dialog the focus) hit alt then space then m then any arrow key and move the mouse around untill the dialog comes into view.
          Then reset the workspace.
If it doesn't fix them all you can repeat as necessaary to get the rest back, but it should.

thank you. Your last procedure worked.

for other people with the same problem. it's explained in detail here:

            Link Preview Image
            The new Google Sites

            favicon
