Wouldn't it be nice, if the order of the layers in Layer Manager stayed in the same order during operations. Now, all the turned on layers are at the top, however, if you turn a layer off it goes to the bottom.

It just would be nice if they didn't move from top to bottom and would just stay at their present location.

Now, I just know someone is going to say, you can prevent this by bla! bla! And if that is true I am indebted to you for pointing this out.

Also, would be nice to be able to select a part, and right click and turn whatever layer that part is on from ON to OFF.

      OK, enough ranting.

Ken, are you referring to the native Layers window or the plugin?

With the native Layers window, the order doesn't change when visibility is changed.

I think you are sorting layers by visibility. Try clicking on the column title "Name".

Well, I just knew a Bla!Bla would appear and be right. Dave you are right if I sort by name, jimmmy-billie-bob and you are right, I was sorting by visibility.

Learn something every day. I didn't know you could sort the layer name or visibility.

Thanks both of you. Note, the Bla, Bla, was not meant to offend.

Now, it makes my layer problem much easier.

            Thanks again.
