Is there a way to animate 3d text per changing date/time?

      Hi All
I'm wanting to animate a shadow study and have the current date/time animate (perhaps as 3d text) so anyone viewing the animation can see the corresponding day/time as they assess the shadow impact. Does anyone know if/how this is possible?
      Thanks

There's always the Shadow toolbar where you can see at a glance time of year and time of day.

Thanks for that idea-what did you use to screen-grab the animation?

About ten years ago TBD made a relatively simple plugin ['Time'?] that adds screen-text, which shows whatever format of time/date you desired.
This updates [per second] between scene-tab changes too, so you can have it displayed in an animated movie too, as the shadows change, so does the screen-text...

Unfortunately it's (c) and he withdrew it from publication...
However, I do have my own version...
I'll PM you something to try...

              Hi TIG
Yes-that's exactly what I was looking for. I've tried it in Sketchup v 2015 and it works, but the time seems offshifted from the shadow study time. Am I doing something wrong in the settings?
              Thanks for your help

Yes-this is exactly what I was looking for. I tried it and it seems like the time displayed is off-shifted from the clock within Sketchup (see pic.) Is there some setting I may be doing wrong?
                Thanks for your help

Not your fault - it's defaulting to 'GMT' - which doesn't affect me as that's where I am !
I'll send you an updated version that fixes it for any time zone... πŸ˜’

                  EDIT: PM'd it to you...

This would be really useful as I have to show studies to clients and a date clock running in the animation would be great
